OSRX Earns Dual NABP Accreditations

OSRX Earns Dual NABP Accreditations
Reinforcing Commitment to Patient Safety and Supply Chain Integrity
OSRX® has reached another major milestone in our ongoing commitment to compliance, integrity, and patient safety. We’re proud to share that our FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facility has officially earned both the Drug Distributor Accreditation and the Healthcare Merchant Accreditation from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) — nationally recognized credentials held by only a select few outsourcing facilities nationwide.
What the NABP Accreditations Mean
The NABP Drug Distributor Accreditation and Healthcare Merchant Accreditation are among the industry’s most rigorous quality and compliance benchmarks. It’s designed to safeguard public health by ensuring that medications distributed to patients meet the highest standards — preventing counterfeit, diverted, or substandard drugs from entering the U.S. drug supply chain.
To earn these accreditations, OSRX underwent an extensive 18-month review process that included an on-site inspection, comprehensive documentation audits, staff interviews, and program improvements.
A Rigorous Process, A Dedicated Team
“Achieving these accreditations was an extensive process that tested every aspect of our operations — from supply chain integrity to inventory management and reporting practices,” said Amy Frost, PharmD, Chief Pharmacy Officer at OSRX.
I’m incredibly proud of our team. This process elevated not only our systems, but our people — demonstrating the expertise and commitment to patient safety that define OSRX.
A Mark of Leadership in Ophthalmic Compounding
While common among wholesalers and large distributors, these designations are held by few compounding pharmacies or outsourcing facilities — placing OSRX among a select group of organizations committed to maintaining robust regulatory compliance and supply chain integrity.
“NABP congratulates OSRX on achieving this important recognition,” said Lemrey ‘Al’ Carter, PharmD, MS, RPh, Executive Director/Secretary of NABP. “By earning the Drug Distributor Accreditation, they demonstrate their commitment to preventing counterfeit drugs from entering the U.S. drug supply and play a pivotal role in protecting public health.”

At OSRX, every milestone reflects our broader mission: to transform ophthalmic care through quality compounded medications, simplicity, and unrivaled customer service.
